Danny has been around racing for most of his life as a driver and fabricator. As owner of Moon Racing, Danny shows his talents in setting up and building race cars from the ground up. He excels by having a passion in the attention to detail. He has the knowledge to put it all together to create a winning combination. Danny has done work for racers all over Colorado and the surrounding state.
Danny also has found his attention to detail translates to the race track. Danny has driven in many different classes in and out of Colorado. From asphalt to dirt, he has found success. He has won multiple races, track championships and state championships.
In 2015 Danny ran a Dirt Sport Modified in the North East Colorado region. Winning 8 features events and many heat races on his way to the BST Sport Modified Championship. He also finishes runner up at two tracks in Colorado. He competed at the Duel In The Desert in Las Vegas, Nevada running in the top half all weekend.
In 2016 Danny again ran in the Sport Modified division, winning 6 feature events. Danny also ran out of state 3 times. In Goodland, Kansas Danny just missed out on making a very competitive feature event. In Tipton, Iowa Danny did make the Saturday night feature running with some of the best Midwest drivers in the country.
2017 found Danny in the winners circle more than 5 times. We also made the feature event 2 out of 3 nights at the Duel In The Desert in Las Vegas. Out of over 100 cars, Danny finished 7th and 17th in back to back features.
2018found Danny winning IO Races, including a feature win in North Platte, Nebraska. Danny ran with some of the best in Tipton, Iowa and made the feature out of a field of over 70 cars. The highlight of the 2018 season came in the last race of the year. The 4D team ran the annual Duel In The Desert in Las Vegas. There were 97 cars on our division including some of the beast drivers in the country. We made the main feature all 3 nights and ran in to top ten most of Saturdays feature before a flat tire took us out of contention. We had our best weekend in Las Vegas this year which included a heat race win, a win in a B Main and a Last Chance Qualifier victory. Danny and the 4D Moon Racing team looks to bring that momentum into the 2019 season.
2019 was another good year for Danny. He combined for double digit wins at multiple race tracts in multiple states. Danny again ran full time at his home track of El Paso County Raceway and many other events in Eastern Colorado. For the first time Danny ran a full season at the Sweetwater Raceway in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Danny ended the season winning the Sweetwater Track Championship and doubled up as the IMCA Wyoming State Champion.
